Yesterday, one of the (Oregon) Dark-eyed Juncos that visited?our feeders had unique plumage characteristics.? The bird's cheeks, on both side of the head, consisted of white patches.? I had very good binoc looks to confirm that it wasn't discoloration from something else.? Everything else about the bird's plumage coloration and markings was normal.
