you can also purchase native serviceberry from Pipers Creek Nursery on
Holman Road, it is supplied by Don Norman of GoNatives! Nursery, which also
does yard consulting, I think. Pipers Creek (206-297-1978) is open Wed- Fri
afternoons & on all day weekends, but Don can be reached at
gonatives at gmail.com. I know Don recommends a mixture of serviceberry with
red-twig dogwood, Indian plum, & cascara (for when I convince my wife to go
native plants).
