Wednesday and Thursday this week I heard a Common Raven in Seward Park,
near the intersection of the upper loop road and the spine trail. I did
not get a visual on either day, nor did I hear it today. Two years ago
a Raven hung out in the park for about a week in late March/early
April.

The Barred Owls have been regularly vocal in call and response over the
last week near the "clearing". Hutton's Vireo's have also been giving
their "wheet? wheet? wheet?........" call this week in the park.

Osoberries and Red-flowering currant are both just in bloom and the
first Trilliums have emerged from the duff.
