I forwarded Dennis Paulson's report of the Michigan records of Pergrine Falcon prey to U. of Wisconsin ornithologist, Stan Temple. He responded as follows:

"The Michigan tally pretty much parallels the diet of Wisconsin's urban peregrines. Cuckoos are taken quite disproportionately because they seem to have all the wrong characteristics (right size, conspicuous, slow fliers, above canopy, etc). In Wisconsin they get hit especially hard during migrations (along with things like woodcock and rails that would otherwise not be accessible to peregrines). Rock doves seem to be the year-round staple."
