For some reason I haven't made the run up to Vancouver to see the oft reported adult and juvenile Northern Goshawks. Today I did. They were easy to find, quite photogenic, and will probably be leaving soon. Last year the Goshawk that wintered there stayed till March 23. If you go, look for the birds in the tall trees near the big Briar patch at the west end of the park or along the north side of the park also in the tall trees. The briar patch has lots of black bunnies. Or just stand around the pond in the center of the park, as they hunt the ducks quite often.
