Have there been any reports of a peregrine being spotted near Tacoma Mall? During the drive home, going S on I-5, I noticed an unfamiliar bird perched atop a light pole in the median in that area. With traffic going rather slowly, I leaned forward to take a better look through the windshield. It wasn't a red-tail, as is usually the case; it definitely wasn't a gull, but was about gull-sized. The last view before it was out of sight, I saw that the top of the head was darker, & the angle showed a shape that was definitely falcon-like.

Am I hallucinating, making a wrong ID, or did I actually see a peregrine?
