A solitary Eurasian Wigeon was at Medina Park on Thursday. In the right
light, a green showed on the side of the head through the rufous color. In
looking through some of my own past photos, it looks like this must be
usual, or at least not unusual. Don't know though.



Anyway, here is a photo that shows the green in the head very clearly.

The photo previous to this (click on the left arrow), shows the green
speculum nicely.



I did not spot the Eurasian Wigeon there on Friday.
