HelloTweeters,
It been 4 months and 10 days today that my 2 Townsend's Warbler are here on
my suet feeder coming 3 times feeding.Original I had 3 bird 2 male and 1
female, but for the first two months there only is 1 pair.We been having
this species now every year since 1989,but non ever stayed this long.We
writing a diary about our birds here, when there feeding ,how many time and
there behavior. My Son started this and he kept a perfect diary of all our
birds flying over our house and direct in our yard. When Patrick passed I
could not write ,but when in November 17 the Pileated came to the
suet, this got me going again. We had this species in our street on the power
poles ,but never in our yard.
I used to buying a little Noble Fir and put this in a big pot and a heavy
cart,to move it around.
In the earlier days around Christmas I put crushed Peanuts on the dirt of
this tree.I wrote a story about "The Little Noble Fir"
It mention the Townsend's Warblers ,going in to the Fir tree to eat the
Peanuts.
I am blessed that when I not going birding,I can watch my many birds I got
right here.Cause my favorite bird is still the Pileated and the 2
Townsend's Warblers, and having this birds so often in a day ,making them
special
I wonder if this two Townsend's a male and female maybe breeding here? Right
now there is no sign ,since there both come and feeding on a regular
basis.Talking about the male Anna's making this loud noise,I been having
this since January. It is recorded in my diary.
