That bill looks too sharp and thin for a vireo, in my opinion. Maybe it's just an Orange-Crowned Warbler, although I'm not familiar with all the Texas possibilities.

Hi Marvin. I love this ID stuff. I narrowed it down to a couple vireos and possibly one or two vermivores. The resolution of the beak is what annoys me, but above the eye there appears to be a white stripe. Was it a warbler type of active, hyper and erratic? Vireos tend to be a bit more methodical while feeding, and the photos remind me of a vireo looking for a caterpillar. But now, in Texas, the birds are on the move and behaviors more energetic and varied (in my experience). With the yellow wash of the breast, I vote for warbling vireo.
