Hi. I lived in Arizona 12 years and California 12 years - I also lived in
Mesa and that sure looks like a mockingbird to me.

A friend who is vacationing in Mesa, Arizona, asked me to identify this
bird. I think it is a Mockingbird, but I have never seen one "in
person" (can you say that about a bird?), so I am judging by Sibley's
guide. The apparent absence of white patches, however, makes me wonder.
Can any of you identify it for me?
