These photos look like a Curve-billed Thrasher to me. They are ubiquitous in SE Arizona, skulking through the brush with those intense orange eyes, pale buffy coloration, and long curved bill. They are a bit bigger than a flicker in size. The Northern Mockingbird is smaller and has two white wing bars, a shorter straight bill, a black stripe through the eye, and is more gray than buffy.
