We spent the morning enjoying the beauty and antics of a gorgeous
male rufous outside our window. Not only did he intimidate the annas
at the feeder, but he also chased away a few chickadees near his
perching spot- such a feisty little bird. I don't recall ever seeing
one here so early in the season!
