Hey Tweeties!

A Yellow Shafted Flicker has been pecking around my yard and came up
to the front porch to check out the seed we've got out for the juncos
and other ground feeding birds.

This bird had the red nape per the pictures of the Yellow Shafted
variety. Okay, did I see what I viewed? I know there are
intergrades, but this guy had the red nape. I didn't get to see it
fly off - it hopped behind my garage.

Oh, and the redwing blackbird is back! Looks like I'm getting more
feeders.
