Dear Tweeters,

Howard Armstrong and I saw the LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE at English Boom on Camano Island on Saturday, 3-28-09. It was in the early afternoon.

We walked all the way out on the trail--eastwards, I think is the direction there. Toward the end, we had to hop over a narrow but muddy creek, near a slender, blue-topped, white plastic pipe sticking up out of the bank. The shrike was hunting actively from driftwood perches way down at the exreme east end, south of a beached hulk that has the numeral three on it.

Yours truly,
