Folks,
A Northern Saw-Whet owl was calling from the northeast section of Seahurst Park forest in Burien the evening of March 28. This is the first time, since buying condo here in Jan-1999, I can confirm this owl species in Seahurst forest. The call was very distinctive and incessant! Both Barred and Great Horned Owls nest in Seahurst; I've seen fledglings across the years, and assumed that smaller owl species may be here, too.
