Subject: [Tweeters] Warbler nesting behaviour

On our recent planning tour of Costa Rica, we were lucky enough to see a dozen species of warblers. Of the non-migrants we noted Buff-rumped Warbler,Gray-crowned Yellowthroat, Collared Redstart and Flame-throated Warbler. The latter astonished us in that we watched the pair bringing nest material to two adjoining tunnels in a grass-covered bank about three feet from the ground. Sometimes the male and female would go in one tunnel entrance and leave by the other. Sometimes they would use separate entrances, but I had no idea that a warbler would nest somewhat like a Rough-winged Swallow. I know that New World warblers can build nests on branches, on the ground and in tree cavities (e.g. Prothonotary). Does anyone know any other different types of nesting behaviour in our warblers?
