Hi Mary and Tweeters,

Several years ago I was having problems with my right
shoulder. After a morning of birding in the Wenas and having
difficulty holding my binos up, I stopped at a hardware store in
Ellensburg. I bought a 1/4-inch dowel three feet long and cut it in
half with one of their saws. I begged a rubber band when I paid. I
wrapped the rubber band around the right side barrel of the binos and
slid the end of the dowel under it, so that when I held the binos up,
the dowel hung straight down. I held the binos normally with my left
hand and held onto the end of the dowel with my right hand. I could
hold my right hand against my hip with the dowel supporting the
binos. It put no strain on my sore shoulder. I used it for a month
or so until my shoulder got better. It worked so well I thought it
might be worth marketing!

Good luck,

Denny
