For those interested in the richness and color of well-crafted
language, how about sharing some great phrases that incorporate avian
images? I just finished reading "Snake Dreams," James Doss's newest
in the humorous Charlie Moon mystery series set on the Southern Ute
reservation. One of the opening begins, "It was two owl-hoots past
sundown . . ." Love it! Does anyone have other examples?
