I visited Ridgefield NWR for the first time last weekend. The bridge repair
was completed a little ahead of time so the River S unit was open. I made
several trips around the 4.5 mile loop over the weekend and was fortunate to
get decent photos of many of the birds there. If you have never been there
you should plan a trip.

High on my list was AMERICAN BITTERN and SORA and I found 2 cooperative
subjects. For those of you who might be interested I have uploaded several
