Hi all,
?
Delia and I spent the morning at SPENCER ISLAND,?just east of the??Everett?sewage lagoons.?
?
We had two SOLITARY SANDPIPERS,? plus one?Greater Yellowlegs, one Long-billed Dowitcher, one Spotted Sandpiper and many Least Sandpipers.???Yellow Warblers were in and singing, Yellow-rumped Warblers were going through, some Myrtle form, but we didn't find any other warblers(besides the resident Yellowthroats) or any other migrants.? Purple Finch were singing,?1 Peregrine,? 1 Merlin, two Harrier, put in appearances,?as did a?Cinnamon Teal?pair and a flock of Greater White-fronted Geese.
?
It was a great HIRUNDINIDAE show, good for the soul, mainly Trees Barns & Cliffs.??Many Cliff Swallows seem to be? planning to build under the first bridge headiing south and because they fly below you?under the bridge somewhat?predictably, it could be an?OPPORTUNITY for photographers to get great flight shots without bothering the birds.
?
It didn't work for me.

Orange-crowned and Wilson's (since April 29th)?were the only warbler species?at the creek today. One Hammond's Flycatcher came through, no bathing, May 1.?
