Hello, regarding red-breasted sapsuckers, I possibly have seen one in my
Wallingford [Seattle] neighborhood for 3-4 years running; usually while
waiting for a bus on NE 40th St I will see it hammering away at a nearby
telephone pole. Are there other hammering-obsessed birds which might be
inclined to stick around a busy city neighborhood [I am a novice birder]?
I've always been curious about this bird.
