Tweeters: I'm hesitant to post this, because of course I have no idea how
long the bird will stay. Yesterday about 5:00 p.m., when it was raining
hard, I found an "odd" Goldfinch at my feeder. It IS a Lesser Goldfinch.
Saw it about 4 times yesterday, as late as 7:00 p.m. Today I have seen it
once, around 9:00 a.m. Of course this is a new yard bird for me, as well
as for the county. A friend is coming this morning to try and photograph
it. I'll keep you posted. Oh, a description: Black cap, olive-green
back, with black at base of tail (most of tail), and large white wing
patches when it flies. Breast is a pale yellow. Meredith Spencer,
