Hello Tweeters and Connie,
First congratulation Connie of all you great finds in the last few years. You
are the one who rejuvenated the fill again with you persistent going on a
regular basis,Thank you Connie!!!!!!!
It was the fall of 1982 I believe ,when my son Patrick ask me if I would
drive him to Ocean Shores on a Tahoma Audubon Fieldtrip. At this time Patrick
was enrolled (he done this alone) in the junior Naturalist at Snake Lake
with Bob Ramsey.I had no binoculars not even the right attire for walking to
the dunes on the Game Range.I never was looking for birds in the past and
than there was1000sends of little creatures walking right under my
feet,Least and Westerns so close and not shy at all.I was so impressed and
kept looking, how beautiful this little birds where.I never forgot this
experience in all this years. On the end of this day,I signed up for bird
classes with Ken Brown.Locking back now how many Shorebird we had than of
all kind of species, and how many there are left now. Also Shorebirds became
my favorite bird species from all the birds. And this was also a turning
point in my life.
Cheers Ruth Sullivan, Tacoma
