Hello there Tweeters,
Yesterday, Tom Aversa, Richard Flemming, and I encountered a BLACK PHOEBE
perched on a wire along side Larkin Rd in Pacific Co. This was at 4:45 p.m.
Here's the exact location: http://tinyurl.com/r9pkzt

The bird allowed nice viewing for only a few minutes before taking flight
and disappearing to the northeast.

A few other birds of note were:

GLAUCOUS GULL - One 1st-cycle mingling with the other large gulls in the
Westport marina.

Heerman's Gull - Two younger birds sitting on rock jetties by Westport.

Anna's Hummingbird - A male before turnoff onto Midway Beach Rd.

Red Knot - Around 70 at Bottle Beach. Smaller numbers also present at North
Cove.

Red-necked Phalarope - 45 or so at Midway Beach.

Blue-winged Teal - A drake at Midway Beach.

Long-billed Curlew - Several with the Whimbrels and Marbled Godwits at North
Cove.

Eurasian Wigeon - A drake along Monte Brady Rd.

Happy birding,
