Tweeters,
Yesterday, Tina and I birded in Lewis County. Tina spotted a female
WILSON'S PHALAROPE at Swofford Pond near Mossyrock. We believe that this is
a first record for Lewis County. The bird was in the shallow, weedy edge of
the pond just below the first (and largest) pullout/overlook on Green
Mountain Road. It was associating with a pair of CINAMON TEAL. We could
not locate a female in the weeds.
Tina also spotted a EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE in Mossyrock perched on the wires
just south of the school. She is a great spotter!
Enjoy!
