While doing a Hoary Elfin survey, I encountered a Western Kingbird in the central south area of Mima Mounds NAP, out in the wide open middle part. I saw a female Northern Harrier, an American Kestrel, plenty of Savannah Sparrows, and one or two Western Meadowlarks.
