After my county birding adventures I drove down to the 10th street boat boat launch on the Everett waterfront. About 200 Caspian Terns sitting on the tarmac there. For anyone wanting an ultra close-up view of a Caspian, this is the spot. You can drive right up to em and watch from your vehicle. Amazing birds !

Doing my tern count I did notice 5 birds with bands, which I documented. If anyone out there in tweeterville wants the data, or knows where to send it please contact me.

Lots of Caspians in Everett right now. Similar hundreds fill the evening sky near the Anchor Pub at the bottom of Hewitt Ave for the past week or so, presumably spending the nights on the vast area of tarmac at the Port of Everett.
