I have one last blog post relating to our recent Malheur visit. This
one describes our visit to Diamond Craters, a volcanic area adjacent
to the east side of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The highlight
was climbing down into a crater and viewing a Great Horned Owl
sitting on its nest on the vertical wall of the crater. This is a
great place, managed by the BLM, and in my blog I give a link to
information available online about the geology of the volcanic area.
