Hello Tweeters,
Today Michael Marsh and I birdied Ocean Shores,do to the tide we decided
that Bowerman Basin and Ocean Shores would be a better choice for birding
Did we was right we heard a Grosbeak quite loud singing. We stopped and there
on a high pine tree was sitting a bird the breast orange and on both sides
of the flanks ,this bird had large, streaking running down on both
sides, there was no mistake we had a female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK.The bird
disappeared at one time ,and we played a tape, and emededly
this bird came back to the same pine tree,We spend a lot of time on this
bird ,and since the sun was so bright,I got few mediocre photos do to the
real bad lighting. We saw this bird on Fairwood Drive. The other highlight
where easy 200 Common Terns below the sewage ponds from the small jetty. This
birds was feeding in a frenzy, the 2 Parasitic Jaeger pursuing the Common
terns steady for there food.So exiting to watch.
Here are the other birds we spotted,

swallow,Violet-green Swallow,Northern Rough-winged Swallow.Warbling Vireo 1,
Yellow Warbler Osprey ( on old nest)
On the board walk: Savannah Sparrows,,Song Sparrows, Bewicks Wren ,Marsh
Wren,Common Yellowthroads, and Wilson Warblers.
ON THE JETTY there where to many people there and we saw no Rockbirds ,few
Gulls and 3 Brown Pelican.
On Driftwood drive we had 3 Whimbrel feeding the upper beaches and 300
Sanderlings.
Brady Loop Road, YELLOW WARBLERS 2, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER 2,BROWN HEADED
