This morning among the many migrants I saw a male Lesser Goldfinch of the
green-backed variety. It was in front of the old boathouse ~1/4 mile west
of the lighthouse. It flew off to the west and was not seen again. Also in
the area was a Nashville Warbler, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Evening Grosbeaks,
Western Tanagers, Cedar Waxwings, Western Kingbirds, and several Bullocks
Orioles.
In addition there were 12 Eurasian Collared Doves and 40+ Stellers
Jays in the area.
