Hello group,


Late Saturday afternoon my wife asked if we could find an Owl that evening. ?So, we drove to the North Parking lot of Discovery park. As we proceeded across a field in darkness, she asked "are there bears around here?" I assured her that there were no bears because we were in the city and that there were many dogs in surrounding neighborhoods. We travelled down several dark paths. The only sounds I heard were muffled laughter when I attempted to imitate a Barred Owl. No Owls to report, but a nice time.


So, as I watched King TV news at eleven a few minutes ago, I was startled to see the video footage of the exact place my wife asked the question and a report of a 250 pound black bear seen on those borders of Discovery park Sunday!
