Hi Tweeters & Inland NW Birders - [feel free to forward to the local lists too]

An updated version of the 2009 county year list project is up at
Washington Birder. We've received updates from almost all the
counties with details through the end of April. County compilers,
especially for the underbirded counties, would appreciate receiving
reports of any birds seen in their counties.

The posted version of the list only covers results through the
beginning of May -- with so many first of season reports coming just
on either side of the May 1`, the exact total for each county is a
little artificial.

As of the end of April, the state list total was at 324, with spring
migration well under way. A couple counties have edged over the 200
species mark, and almost all are over 100 by now.

If you'd like to take a look at where things stand, the list and many
other interesting files are at the Washington Birder website:

Thanks to all the compilers and all those pitching in to sketch a
picture of another year's birds in WA.
