Hi again, Tweeters & Inland NW Birders -
I've been meaning to send a post about the Washington Ornithological
Society [WOS] field trip web site for a while. WOS members: If you
want to stay up to date on upcoming field trips, be sure to visit:
http://wos.org/fieldtrips.htm
We often post trips online before they make it into WOS News print version.
For example - interested in any of the following trips?
The Blue Mountains, emphasizing Columbia & Garfield Counties
Warblers of the Little Pend Oreille NWR (Stevens Co)
Padilla Bay to Washington Pass (mosty Skagit Co)
Northeastern Washington
Whitman County
Naches Pass (King Co)
Info on all of the above trips is available on the site.
Participation: Each member may join up to four trips per year
(excluding annual conference trips). Non-members may attend as a
member's guest once per year.
But Wait! There's More!
The WOS Field Trip archive has also been re-launched on the WOS site.
At the following link:
http://wos.org/ftreports.htm
We are posting write-ups of WOS field trips -- with trips going back
to 2003, there is a lot of info available -- Take a look next time
you are looking for ideas of what can be seen on your next trip
somewhere new -- there might be a WOS trip with info about that site.
Thanks to Nancy Hertzel for all the web site work across WOS.org.
Best,
Matt Bartels
