One my way back from the fill on Saturday walking westwards towards
the Montlake Bridge between Husky Stadium and the Cut there are a
pair of Western Tanagers in trees with a male (with red head ... not
like the wimp on Cap Hill) and a female too.

Fly catching off the top of a fir and another tree to the NE perhaps
40m away. They'd fly between perches and catch something on the way.

I bumped into a guy who'd come up to see them. he said they'ed been
there a couple of days. So I wonder if these are the Fill tanagers
that are moving around a bit?

The tree should be easy to find a freestanding very conical conifer
(fir?) 100m from the Montlake Bridge with a path surrounding it that
connects back to the parking lot. It stands out quite clearly in the
Google Maps sat image.
