Sorry I forgot to post this earlier. On a birding weekend in Snohomish
County, Russ Koppendrayer and I made a brief stop at Tye Lake Park in Monroe.
We found a pair of Western Kingbirds nest building behind a transformer
on a power line pole on the south side of the lake. Also had a couple
minute visit by a Pectoral Sandpiper. All this about 7 AM.

We had a total of 82 species seen in two days of birding. Other areas
birded were the farm ponds near Lord Hill on the Snohomish - Monroe Highway
(the White-face Ibis were long gone when we came back through at about 1:30
PM on Saturday), Lord Hill Regional Park, Crescent Lake, pond near State
Corrections Farm #2, Everett waterfront, the Conservancy property at the end
of Boe Road near Stanwood (Wilson's Phalarope & other birds), Spencer,
Island, and near the Edmonds Ferry.

Bird seen were:
Canada Goose, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Mallard, Blue-winged Teal,
Cinnamon Teal, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Green-winged Teal, Canvasback,
Ring-necked Duck, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, Ruddy Duck, Red-necked
Grebe, Double-crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, White-faced Ibis, Osprey,
Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, American
Coot, Killdeer, Spotted Sandpiper, Greater Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper,
Wilson?s Phalarope, Ring-billed Gull, Glaucous-winged Gull, Caspian Tern,
Pigeon Guillemot, Marbled Murrelet, Rhinoceros Auklet, Rock Pigeon, Mourning
Dove, Vaux?s Swift, Rufous Hummingbird, Red-breasted Sapsucker, Downy
Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Pileated Woodpecker, Western Wood-Pewee, Willow
Flycatcher, Western Kingbird, Warbling Vireo, Steller?s Jay, American Crow,
Tree Swallow, Violet-green Swallow, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Cliff
Swallow, Barn Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, Chestnut-backed Chickadee,
Red-breasted Nuthatch, Bewick?s Wren, House Wren, Winter Wren, Marsh Wren,
Swainson?s Thrush, American Robin, European Starling, Cedar Waxwing,
Orange-crowned Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Wilson?s Warbler,
Western Tanager, Spotted Towhee, Savannah Sparrow, Song Sparrow, White-throated
Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Black-headed Grosbeak, Red-winged Blackbird,
Brewer?s Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, Purple Finch, House Finch, American
Goldfinch, House Sparrow.
Heard but not seen: Yellow-headed Blackbird at Corrections Farm;
Yellow-breasted Chat near bridge to Spencer Island. The Chat was seen flying away,
but not well enough to sight identify.
