Hello Tweeters -

I'm considering a trip over the mountains this week to the Richland/Pasco areas in hopes of photographing raptors (including Owls) in the area, although I welcome other birds as well.

I'm specifically interested in finding areas that have fence posts where Kestrels, Red-tailed Hawks, etc., or even Quails (I know that they're not raptors) tend to sit in hope of finding prey in the surrounding farm fields. I'm trying to avoid areas where the birds perch high on telephone lines because I cannot photograph them from my car and it causes undue stress on them if you approach.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated; feel free to respond directly to me [rayshome1 AT hotmail.com].

Also, while I'm on the subject, if you know of any areas where White-tailed Kites have been spotted reliably, I'd love to hear about them (I realize that they will not be in Eastern Washington, so it will have to be a different trip.)

Thanks everyone!
