No one seems to have suggested MacGillivray's as a possible part of the
mix and I'm not sure why. Although the eye ring seems quite complete and not
broken, Connecticut came to mind first. But then Connecticut would be way
out of range I'd think, and just thinking more 'inside the box',
MacGillivray's X Redstart seemed more likely since their ranges do overlap in parts
of the PNW and BC and general habitat too to some degree apart from maybe
at different levels in the canopy. Ditto Redstart X Nashville. Of course
that assumes it's even a hybrid at all and not a just totally weird
Redstart or even something else, ....like um..., Bachman's :-)) ---Richard
