Yesterday I was making photos at the Garden in Bloom project at the Methow
Elementary school near Winthrop. One of the coordinators of the project said
'look at those big white birds with dark wing tips'. Sure enough, a kettle
of American White Pelicans was circling and appeared to be going from the
Winthrop area, down valley. There was about 20 of them.
