This afternoon, in the middle of running errands, I went to the McLane
Bottoms on Capitol Forest. Not much in the way of waterfowl, but the
Swainson's Thrush and Common Yellowthroat have arrived. I even SAW a
Swainson's! It was kind enough to be waiting for me at the parking lot
next to my truck. Really.

southerly trail to McLane Creek, 1220 to 1445 pst. Turtles out
sunning: 6. Beaver pond level still up and just slightly overflowing.
