Hi, all,

I, too, have EVENING GROSBEAKS in my neighborhood, around 19th and
Republican in Seattle's Capitol Hill. Around a dozen or more have been
here since Wednesday (5/20 through today, so far), perhaps eating green
seeds of bigleaf maple and sweet cherry, among else. Also still around
(and not local breeders) are WESTERN TANAGER and WILSON'S WARBLER, and
just today, CEDAR WAXWING. Last week, I had a fledgling JUNCO (with
parents, the first breeding by them in my three springs at this
address).

Stop press: about eight RED CROSSBILLS just appeared, a new yard bird
(in a conifer -- even a few mature trees make a big difference in the
city).
