Today there was an adult male BLACKPOLL WARBLER at Sun Lakes State Park. The
bird sang almost constantly from 10:00 AM until after 3:00 PM. He then quit
and I did not hear him again. Perhaps he moved on or perhaps the hordes of
people pushed him into silence. The bird was located in the day use area
near the showers and bathroom and did not leave that area during the entire
day. A few documenting photos were taken, but the bird was furtive and
stayed high in the canopy.
