There have been an unusual number of Red Crossbills on feeders on the Quimper Peninsula from Pt. Ludlow to Pt. Townsend this ?spring (one flew off my feeder a few minutes ago). One gentleman with lots of Crossbills on his feeders sent me two photos of a female with very unusual white markings. She had one white wing bar and a very bright neck. Please see them on ??http://www.flickr.com/photos/37079820 at N07/#photo3571631814 ?and let me know what you think.?
