just happened to look up from the computer of doom, here on george davis creek, in time to watch a beautiful western tanager male whomp through pretty quickly. fly to branch, flit, flit, fly to second branch, flit, fly off into the sunset (or at least the general direction)...

would have been nice if he'd stuck around long enough for a shot, but i imagine he had better things to do... :)
