In answer to your question--on Saturday May 16, Ruth Sullivan and I
observed a singing female Rose-breasted Grosbeak at Ocean Shores. If I
remember correctly, Ruth stated that this was the first of this sp. she has
seen in Western WA. It is the first for me on the west side, but I just
moved to WA in Feb.
My only other PNW sighting was on May 16, 1998 at Malheur NWR in SE
Oregon. This bird remained for about a week. In Oregon one or two show up
almost annually.
Good birding, Mike

Has anyone else spotted a RBGR in Washington before?
Thoughts? Thanks!
