Bert, As much as I have tried to dissuade them, I still have about 8 here. They are gleaning now, and should head off soon.

I grow weary of their chirping. When I returned from a week of birding east, I only had a couple, but by the end of the day about a dozen. That quickly turned into over 50 birds within a few days, and I just quit putting seed out. Still they sit and wonder, where everyone went, continuing to feed on what is intended for the other birds.

They are glorious at moments, with the rush of wind I feel upon my person when they flush, and the very sound of wings in motion.

But upon my own contemplation, I feel it quite fitting they provide others with the vast enjoyment they seem so willing to provide me; now a reluctant and somewhat hesitant participant of this life they choose to share with me.

Kind of like the cat who insists on sitting upon the very lap of the visitor who is allergic to them.

This is life, and like it or not, I cannot change it much!
