Thanks to Greg Toffic for his post about the Ebey Slough dike accessed from near the end of Fobes Rd west and a bit north of Snohomish. I did'nt know about this public access to a very birdy area! More on this later, but did see a single GREAT EGRET fishing along with many Great Blue Herons in one of the big freshwater ponds about 1/2 mile southward from the 'trailhead'. There is a little gravel side road and parking spot there, just before the dead end of Fobes Rd. A half dozen very actively fishing Ospreys at the same spot. One got a nice big fish, another nailed a Bullfrog.
