I hope all you real bird experts can forgive my basic questions but I'm just trying to figure out what birds are within sight of my own yard for starters. Yesterday, two reddish-brown birds, bigger than sparrows and smaller than robins raced across my yard. They seemed to be just a solid color (like burnt sienna) but I only saw them once. Actually, in these ten years, I've never seen them before. So...what could they be? Also...I've been watching turkey vultures and bald eagles and what looks like golden eagles (because they're so much larger than the bald eagles and about the size of the turkey vultures). Is it possible they are actually golden eagles at my house in Fall City? Thanks to all for the answers and suggestions to my rudimentary questions so far!Tom WalshFall Cityitomas at onebox.com
