Tweets - I zigzagged my way across northern Lincoln County yesterday, on my
way to Spokane, and had some good birds.

On Miles-Creston Rd., I had VARRIED THRUSH, all 3 NUTHATCHES, a WINTER WREN,
and a single CLARK'S NUTCRACKER

On Indian Creek Rd., I had two BEWICK'S WRENS, and 2 adult GOLDEN EAGLES.
On SR-25, I had a beautiful juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE too.

On lower Harker Canyon Rd., a NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL came right in to a tape,
posing for photos

On the Spokane River/Reservoir at the bottom of Mill Canyon Rd., I found the
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER and NORTHERN SHRIKE previously reported there, as well
as 4 RED-BREASTED MERGANSER.

At the Reardon Ponds, in the failing light, I could see many swans. The two
nearest were clearly TUNDRA SWANS. Most of the rest also appeared to be
Tundras. But the two furthest *could* maybe have been Trumpeters... I need
a better scope. There was also a single BONAPARTE'S GULL at the east end of
the ponds.

Not a bad afternoon.
