Dear Northwest birders,

As an exchange student and a fellow birder I wish for some help regarding my future birding here in the US.
I'm a current exchange student at the UW, Dept of Architecture, from Stockholm, Sweden.

Until now I have been strolling the Discovery Park and my backyard at Capitol Hill for birds but wish to explore more of this state and it's fauna. It seems like the Seattle Audubon Society can give me that opportunity, and to make the most out of my experience here I hereby reveal my true purpose of this 'tweeting': I need a tripod.

I simply couldn't bring along a heavy tripod on the transcontinental flight, although I did brought my spotting scope. The Nature Shop have a good choice of tripods but it's just slightly over my price range for a ten month stay. Craigslist and Ebay are places I regularly check - so far no luck. So, if any of you might have one too many please let me know is there is a possibility to lend, rent or buy it!
The spotting scope is a Kowa TSN-601 so I won't need an 10 lbs thing, though I prefer something rather steady.

I hope this kind of post's are OK at this email list. If not let me know.

Best regards,
Gustav Svardhagen
