Dear Tweeters,

Today I tried for Ancient Murrelets at Rosario Head, Green Point, and Samish Island (all in Skagit County). In between squalls, it was a nice day, but there was no luck to be had on the Ancients.

At Rosario Head, however, a late Parasitic Jaeger showed up, surprisingly enough. I had already pretty much written that species off for the year. Only two Bonaparte's Gulls were there, with a big flock of Mew, Heermann's, and Glaucous-winged, but the jaeger cut one Bony out of the flock, chased it down, and forced it to give up a tidbit.

Yours truly,
Gary Bletsch ? Near Lyman, Washington (Skagit County), USA ? garybletsch at yahoo.com ? ?
